1/350 Space Battleship Yamato @Jan 2008

To give the battleship a realistic look, we have painted it with weathering effect. The 7 jet fighters (4cm in length) and the 12 figures (5mm long!) are also painted. They are so tiny it was quite an effort to paint them!			This giant model is from an anime series Space Battleship Yamato. There have been dozen of Yamato models; however, this one is by far the best. Bandai has gone all out with this kit, and it is a Perfect Grade kit.

	The assembled battleship is 766mm, just a little over 2 1/2 feet long. The kit comes with a remote control in which you can activate the movement of different parts of the ship.

Wave Motion Engine: Sound of the thruster and growing light to simulate firing up of the battleship.

Wave Motion Gun: Main weapon located at the very front of the ship. When you fire it, a red light appears that grows steadily stronger, until the sound of the wave motion gun firing is heard, and the light turns white!

Main guns and pulse laser: The turrets rotate, move up and down when button is pressed.

The kit also includes 12 figures of the crew, 7 jet fighters, and a stand.


The finished product (with our custom-made display case) looks great in our client’s living room! We will try to upload a video of the battleship in motion, come back and check it out later!
